Astley and Buckshaw Junior Football Club Is your child aged from 5-8 years and absolutely mad about football? ![]() Then why not come down to our open training sessions at Buckshaw Village all weather training facility an Saturday morning from 9:30am until 11:00am. Training is supervised by FA trained, CRB cleared coaches.
Please note there is a small fee of £2 per child each session to cover our costs. For more information contact

If you would like to join in with the Astley Park's WI for fun and friendship, outings and speakers contact Barbara Robinson on Chorley 268313. The WI meets in Astley Village Community Centre at 7.30 pm each fourth Tuesday of the Month, all year round. |
2010 is the 90th Year of the Lancashire Federation of WI and to commemorate this the Astley Park WI, along with Brindle and Clayton-le-Woods WIs are having a rose bed planted up in Astley Park |

The Group is a great opportunity to meet other parents who live in the village, make new friends and also gives children the opportunity to socialise with other children their own age. The group has been meeting for over thirty years but today it is not just mothers who bring their children, dads, grandparents, childminders - everyone is welcome. So if you look after any pre-school age children (0-5 years) on a Thursday afternoon then why not come join us?! There is a minimal charge of £1.50 per session to cover the basic costs of running the group. Each session includes a weekly craft activity, a healthy snack and a drink for the children and a hot or cold drink for the grown ups too! |
